The Center for Youth Wellness Pediatric Symposium is designed for medical practitioners currently screening or interested in learning more about screening for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) within their clinical practices. CYW staff and other experts will share current protocols, emerging research and developing practices on screening and referring patients who show the effects of ACEs and Toxic Stress. Also, CYW seeks to learn from participants the successes, barriers and opportunities for expanding screening for all children within the pediatric setting. CYW is committed to building a community of practice of early adopters interested in advancing the science and practice of screening in the pediatric setting.
- Share insights and protocols on the practice of ACEs screening, referrals and interventions, among pediatricians and their staffs.
- Increase knowledge and awareness of the emerging science and research of ACEs and toxic stress.
- Build the foundation for an emerging pediatric community of practice around ACEs screening and intervention.
